Beyza is a Kurdish environmental engineer living in Türkiye who is passionate about using technology to create sustainable solutions. Driven by her desire to protect vulnerable communities, Beyza developed Plantzma for her Rise project, a groundbreaking technology that enhances crop yield and reduces water usage. Plantzma involves two systems: direct treatment and indirect treatment. Direct treatment exposes seeds to plasma, enhancing germination and growth, while indirect treatment enriches irrigation water with nitrogen species, boosting root and vegetative development and creating eco-friendly ''plasma fertiliser.'' Beyza aspires to study environmental engineering to create solutions that help vulnerable communities facing threat from climate-related disasters.
