Emilie is a driven software developer, human-computer interaction researcher, and student. She was accepted into the University of British Columbia at age 15, where she is currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Honours Computer Science. Emilie was recognized for her excellence in STEM and leadership, winning the prestigious Schulich Leader Scholarship and several university awards for top academic performance. She is a 2019 Grand Prize Winner of Google's Code-in contest and numerous hackathons. Her Rise project, Cobweb, is a platform that addresses a lack of support for teens looking to explore the blockchain. Emilie embodies the values of perseverance, accessibility, innovation, and dreams of a world where software is more collaborative and empowering.
