2021 fellow
Thomas Pierre Grattoni-May
United Kingdom
Passionate about climate change and space, Thomas focuses on studying climate oscillations and their impact on people’s lives. He has been a BBC 500 Words short story competition finalist, but when he was 7, he was at the bottom of his class — written off because of his stutter. He wants to ensure no child with a stutter is left behind and unable to pursue their interests. For his Rise project, Thomas launched an app for experts and people who stutter to target lack of adequate speech and language therapy.
