Aarushi Dahiya
India
Aarushi is a climate activist from India. She won the Orwell Youth Prize 2022 for a piece of writing on human inaction and now–through Dr. Jane Goodall's Roots and Shoots youth program–works to introduce sustainability initiatives in her community. Aarushi is also an award-winning debater who cares deeply about female participation in STEM, founding a club to teach girls to code. Her Rise project is an ongoing effort to collect, preserve, and provide open access to oral histories that would otherwise be lost forever.
