2022 fellow
Maria Fernanda Reynaga Castro
Peru
Through research, innovation, and technology, Maria wants to achieve replicable, accessible, and sustainable science in children’s health. From Peru and now living abroad, she was deeply impacted by quality of life. During “Vivo el libro,” a social project focused on bettering reading and writing levels for children, she realized the effects of health on child development. For her Rise project, she used Algarrobo pectin and oranges from Piura to create a gummy vitamin that combats anemia.
