Rise Fellow 2024

Mert is a Turkish aviation enthusiast passionate about addressing the structural risks posed by earthquakes. For his Rise project, Mert developed a new data analysis method to identify poorly constructed buildings. Additionally, he created an algorithm to organize rooms for earthquake safety and trained an AI model to ensure aesthetically pleasing designs. In his spare time, he loves to play chess, basketball, drums, and sketches project ideas to later turn them into reality. Mert aspires to pursue a doctorate in computer science, aiming to create more meaningful solutions and to have a longer-lasting impact by teaching future generations.
