Rise Global Winner 2022

Ruby is a service-driven South African student that is incredibly passionate about helping people and the environment. Over the years, she has developed an interest in food security and water conservation. Her Rise project investigates which soaps negatively affect plant growth to determine what types of greywater people can use to water their crops at home. Since February 2021, she has expanded her project. It was entered in the Eskom Expo and was awarded first place in the International Senior Agricultural Category.
